AI Disclosure
Ventura Buzz uses AI-assisted tools to help format, summarize, and structure information about public government meetings. Some of the text on this site is generated or shaped with the assistance of a large language model.
What AI does here
AI tools are used to extract structured data from raw calendar feeds, normalize event titles and locations, and generate short plain-English summaries of what meetings are about and when they occur.
What AI does not do
AI does not decide what is published. Every item goes through a human editorial review step before appearing on this site. AI does not add facts, opinions, or interpretations that are not present in the original source material.
Human oversight
All AI-generated content is reviewed by a human editor before publication. The source of record for every item is always an official City of Ventura public notice or calendar posting — not the AI output. If the AI gets something wrong, we want to know: contact us.
Accuracy and continuous review
We continuously review published content for accuracy. AI-assisted summaries are checked against the original official source. Our goal is to be more accurate — not less — because automated checks allow us to maintain consistency that would be difficult to sustain manually at this frequency.
